Frequently Asked Questions
I am deeply passionate in community support and I like to find ways I can give back to the community, and one method to do this is through various fundraising projects.
These projects often involve face painting, makeup artistry, and collaborations with other businesses, to support various charities and causes. Future projects will involve art paintings and wearable art.
I get this question a fair bit, and unfortunately, it's not something I can support. Generally, donations are given with no expectation of receiving anything in return. The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) rules state that for a donation to be tax-deductible, you must voluntarily give money or property without receiving any material benefit. If you receive something in return, this is generally considered a purchase rather than a donation.
- For example, if you donate to a charity and receive a face painting service in return, the face painting would be seen as a payment for the service, not a donation, and thus is not tax deductible.

Additionally, Alisana Artistry maintains Public Liability and Product Liability Insurance with a combined limit of $60 million ($30 million for Public Liability and $30 million for Product Liability). For this insurance to be applicable, all services are attached attached to a billable invoice to ensure coverage.
I post information about upcoming events, particularly my weekend face painting activities at the Junction Cafe, on my Facebook page Stories. While my schedule can be varied due to my ongoing recovery from a repetitive strain injury, I make every effort to keep the Burdell community updated on opportunities to participate and contribute.
Donations can be made at the events themselves, and sometimes through online platforms, as specified for each individual project. My current focus is on Jeans for Genes Day and the fundraising link can be found here: <https://fundraise.jeansforgenes.org.au/fundraisers/alisanaartistry/>
Thank you for thinking of me! At this time, my fundraising calendar for 2025 is full. However, I am always open to considering new opportunities to support worthwhile causes in the future. Please reach out to me with information about your cause, your fundraising goals, and any ideas you have for potential collaborations, and I will keep your proposal on file for future consideration.
I appreciate your interest in having me at your event. Unfortunately, I'm unable to offer my services for free. As a responsible business owner, Alisana Artistry maintains Public Liability and Product Liability Insurance with a combined limit of $60 million ($30 million for Public Liability and $30 million for Product Liability). This insurance is attached to a billable service to ensure coverage. As an alternative, you could reach out to local businesses to see if they would be willing to sponsor my service fee to provide face painting at your event.
